Luis Enrique 'pulls the stripes': "Xavi? I represent Barcelona better"

Luis Enrique, this Tuesday, gave even more 'gas' to the rumors that, over the last few weeks, have been pointing him out as one of the strongest candidates to take over the technical command of Barcelona, next season, in the face of Xavi Hernández's 'goodbye'.

Questioned about who would best represent the playing style traditionally put into practice by the Catalan team, in the press conference previewing the reunion with the former club, in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, the coach of Paris Saint-Germain placed himself above his compatriot.

"Without a doubt, me. Look at the data on ball possession, titles, high pressure... Look at the data. It's not an opinion, it's numbers, data. It's not debatable", he said, in statements reproduced by the Spanish newspaper As.

"I'm sorry to burst the bubble, but I don't know anything about Xavi as a coach. I know Xavi as a teammate and Xavi as a player. I know the club and its players very well. I don't know if it will be an advantage or a disadvantage", he added.
