Paulo Fonseca and Lille's European dream: "I must be cautious"
The Portuguese coach's team is preparing to play in the 'quarter-finals' of a European competition for the first time in history.

Paulo Fonseca gave an interview to UEFA, released this Tuesday, about Lille's game against Aston Villa, scheduled for this Thursday, in the 'quarterfinals' of the Europa Conference League, this being the first time that the French emblem reaches such a stage of a European competition, even asking for... "prudence" in the wishes.
"I think it's a huge achievement for Lille to reach this stage of the competition. The reality is that we may have come across the best team in the competition. I must be prudent in what my wishes are. I believe a lot in my players, I believe a lot in our team. We will fight and work hard to somehow be able to dream of getting around this great obstacle that is Aston Villa", he began by saying.
"The essence of this team is to be dominant, to be pressing, to recover the ball in high areas, but above all, to control and dominate the game. What we seek to be is a dominant team, that plays in the attacking midfield and that is a team that has a strong reaction to the moment of loss. At the moment, when we are attacking in the last meters of the field", he completed next.
It is recalled that Paulo Fonseca has been in Lille since last season, after having spent two seasons at AS Roma, already having 21 triumphs in 41 matches in the current season.
