Former Italian international Gigi Buffon, one of the greatest legends of transalpine football, began his professional career at Parma in 1995. At that time, Paolo Maldini was already one of the most prominent players in the Squadra Azzurra and AC Milan. This Monday, the former goalkeeper shared an interesting discovery - an autograph from Maldini.

"Here is another treasure found in the drawer of memories at home. Now I wonder, is that really your signature Paolo Maldini?", he questioned, via Instagram. And he got a response from Maldini:

"Dear Gigi, I don't want to disappoint you, but it doesn't look like my handwriting... But I was so young that maybe I changed it over time. This time with affection, Paolo", he said.

Paolo Maldini emerged in Italian football ten years earlier, in 1985. He is currently 55 years old. One has 126 international appearances, while Buffon has 176 appearances for the Italian national team.
