FC Porto will host Vitória SC this Sunday in a match for the 28th round of the I League, four days after the two teams met in the first leg of the semi-finals of the Portuguese Cup. With the fight for the title being almost a mirage for the Dragons, Sérgio Conceição's team does not intend to make it easy.

Moreover, the FC Porto coach made a point of stating that the result of the derby between Sporting and Benfica would not have an impact on his players, emphasizing that the remaining rounds of the championship should be seen as "finals".

On the other side will be a Vitória SC wanting to avenge the home defeat in the Cup, with Álvaro Pacheco asking for more audacity and ambition from the players.

Fábio Veríssimo is the referee appointed to judge the match between FC Porto and Vitória SC, whose kick-off is scheduled for 8:30 pm. Follow all the incidents on Desporto ao Minuto.

Coaches in direct speech

Sérgio Conceição

Triple duel with Vitória: "Vitória was the team that played within their usual style, with behaviors that we understand. With humility, we worked to understand that Vitória is a strong team, well-worked, with individual values. Hence, our consistency in the game. We allowed very little to Vitória. We cannot forget what they did against the teams that are ahead of us. Contrary to what was written, we played a very competent game. It was not because of a less good moment by Varela that we won. We won because we created more situations, because we were more competent, against an opponent who always tried to balance the game. We have to look with humility at these values of the opponent and do what we worked on to win the game."

Derby result: "Certainly, I am not like those coaches who say they will not watch the game. I watch, from the district to the Champions League. As for the result, may the best team win. We do not depend on that game. Unfortunately, we are behind these two teams. We have to look at the seven remaining games, seven finals. God willing, two more in the Cup. We have to look at these games as finals, and, tomorrow, it will be a final. I will watch, we are attentive to everything that happens with our direct rivals. In the end, we will do the math and the assessment we have to do about what was done, well and not so well."

Álvaro Pacheco

FC Porto with more initiative in the game: "I think so. FC Porto here [on Wednesday] always took away our game, our strongest point and in which we feel more comfortable. The game had many breaks, it was very stopped, with many fouls, and I believe that tomorrow [on Sunday] it will not be".

In the championship, the math is different: "A much more emotional and beautiful game to watch between two teams that will want to win: we want to reach 56 points as quickly as possible and FC Porto does not want to stop cherishing the opportunity to approach the teams that are ahead of them".
