WhatsApp will give you a way to organize your favorite contacts
However, this novelty should still take a while to arrive.

WhatsApp appears to be working on a new feature for the messaging app that will allow users to better organize and favorite the contacts of the most important people in their lives.
As spotted by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on a new tab in the Settings area of the app, which will be called Favorites. This tab will allow users to favorite contacts, removing the need to scroll through the main Chats tab to find their most important contacts.
Unfortunately, it seems that this tab is still a little way off, as it is not yet available to beta testers.
