IRS? PSD requests removal from the specialty without a vote (with protests)
The parliamentary leader of the PSD asked today, with the Government's consent, to withdraw the Government's proposal to reduce the IRS from the debate in the specialty, without voting, but received audible protests already in the final stretch of the debate.

The request for leave to the committee will be assessed during the voting period, and the outcome is uncertain, although this type of request is usually approved without any votes against.
In the final stretch of the debate, which was very tense and marked by accusations, especially between the PSD, PS and Chega benches, Hugo Soares presented this request orally and, given the reaction of the majority of the chamber, issued a warning.
"I draw the attention of the Portuguese people to the fact that those who spend their lives talking about consensus and dialogue are the ones who heckle the leave to the committee, which is curious, to say the least", he stated.
