21-year-old arrested after being caught with drugs in Gaia

A 21-year-old man was arrested on Friday by the National Republican Guard (GNR) for drug trafficking in the municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia.
The police force said in a statement released on Saturday that the officers approached the man during a policing operation. The suspect showed "suspicious behavior", which led the guards to carry out a personal security check.
The officers then detected that the young man had drugs in his possession and he was arrested. 35 doses of hashish, 70 euros in cash and a mobile phone were seized.
The detainee was constituted an accused and the facts were communicated to the Judicial Court of Vila Nova de Gaia.
