A 50-year-old man has been missing since early Tuesday afternoon in the Douro River, in the parish of Mazouco, Freixo de Espada à Cinta, in the district of Bragança, a source from the National Republican Guard (GNR) confirmed to Notícias ao Minuto.
The alert was given at 2:30 pm by a local, who reported that the victim had fallen into the water while practicing recreational fishing.
Means of the GNR and the Firefighters of Freixo de Espada à Cinta were activated to carry out searches.
The search and rescue teams are now on the scene trying to find the victim.
A source from the GNR also said that objects and clothes of the man were found at the scene.
