The Simpsons says goodbye to character who has been there since episode 1
Larry was a minor character, but with many years connected to the series.

He may be just a background character, but he's a face fans of The Simpsons have grown accustomed to seeing on a regular basis. So it's no wonder that the latest episode of the show's 35th season brought some sad news.
The episode in question, the 15th of the season and titled 'Cremains of the Day', featured the death of the character Larry.
The character was a man often seen drinking at the same bar that Homer, Carl and Lenny frequent. Always looking sad, Larry has been a regular presence since the show's first episode.
Despite only having two spoken lines in the show's 35 seasons, his death ends up bringing Homer and his friends closer together as they try to find a way to honour Larry's memory as one of their own.
While death is no stranger to the show, this is another 'loss' to mourn.
