Ear and jaw pain at the same time? Be careful
It may be something common to happen, but it can also indicate other types of pathologies.

Sometimes, when you have an earache, you also have pain in your jaw and mandible area. It can be something common, due to the face's physiognomy, but it could also be related to other pathologies.
"The jaw joint is in front of the ear and the ear canal", says physician Philip Chen to the 'website' Well + Good. Having a red ear, hearing loss and pressure inside the ear may indicate that you have an ear infection.
Still, there are other conditions that may cause you to have pain in the ear and in the mandible area at the same time. The expert explains the possible reasons.
- Temporomandibular joint dysfunction;
- Parotitis;
- Dental problems or infections;
- Sinusitis.
