Avoid using abrasive sponges when cleaning your ceramic floor. You may end up scratching it, which is not what you want. There are safer ways to do this chore and avoid any damage.
According to the website House Digest, you should start by sweeping the floor. With a plastic spatula, remove any residue that may be more visible. Then, make a solution with hot water, half a cup of vinegar, and half a tablespoon of floor cleaner.

Use this mixture with a cloth or mop. If you find more difficult and stuck stains, simply create a solution with half a cup of baking soda, a quarter cup of hydrogen peroxide, and a teaspoon of detergent.
Mix well and apply to the stains. This is more suitable for the joints. Let it sit for 10 minutes and scrub with a toothbrush. Wipe with a damp cloth.
