Want to eat less meat? It’s a big change to consider. Why? Going cold turkey doesn’t help you stick to it in the long run. You’ll want to take it slow and steady. Need some tips?
Jess Damuck, author of the cookbook 'Health Nut: A Feel-Good Cookbook', advises starting by rethinking your portion sizes, as quoted on Martha Stewart’s website.
"Thinking of meat as a supporting player rather than the main attraction helps shift your meals to be more vegetable-forward while still totally satisfying," she adds.

Joanne Molinaro, cookbook author and creator of The Korean Vegan, recommends that you "add something new for everything you subtract". In other words, gradually cut back on meat, but use it as an opportunity to add a new ingredient you’ve always wanted to try, like chickpeas, she advises.
Or start even smaller. Try cutting out meat from just one meal a day. Once you’re comfortable, you can try going meatless one day a week, and eventually eliminate it from your diet altogether.
