When it comes to breakfast, do you opt for wholesome foods or do you include some processed ingredients? Be warned that there are some choices that could be leaving you feeling bloated and with digestive issues.

Website SheFinds spoke to dietitians Jesse Feder and Trista Best, as well as nutritionist Lisa Richards to find out what you should avoid eating first thing in the morning to prevent bloating and digestive issues.

Bacon

"The saturated fat can cause inflammation throughout your body and your gut, leading to bloating and digestive issues," says Jesse Feder.

Sausage

"Opt for a lower-sodium turkey sausage instead. By making this simple swap, you can reduce your intake of saturated fat and sodium, which will help keep your gut happier and less bloated," says Trista Best.

Waffles

"They tend to be high in calories, sugar, and processed ingredients, which can make them a less-than-ideal choice for those looking to maintain a healthy diet."

Sugary cereal

"Consuming high levels of sugar has been linked to an increased risk of obesity, which has also been tied to poor gut health," says Lisa Richards.
