On more than one occasion, both have revealed that what led to the end of the relationship was an unexpected reason.

Ana Galvão and Nuno Markl broke up in 2016, after eight years together and a son in common, Pedro, 14 years old. And the reasons for the end of the relationship are today the Topic of the Week, a section of Fama ao Minuto.
The two had already revealed that the 'straw that broke the camel's back' for the separation was... the choice of a television. The announcer spoke about the subject again on the program 'Temos de Falar', on SIC Mulher, where she said that it was when they realized they disagreed on the choice of television for the living room that the breaking point occurred.
"I would never separate from someone because of a television, obviously. But they are disagreements that you have with the person, and that I had with him, that had to do with [the fact] that Nuno loves technology, watching movies... And my thing is that a living room can't live based on watching television, otherwise people only use the living room to watch television", explained Ana Galvão.

However, the announcer explained that, later, when she found out that her ex-partner had a new girlfriend, she spent an entire day crying. "There are relationships that I think end long after you physically separate (...). That happened to me. There was a physical separation, decided, but I'm sure the separation really happened when each of us had other people", she also said.

So far, Nuno Markl has not yet spoken out on the subject.
