Miguel Cristovinho criticizes Bordalo II's demonstration against Salazar
"In my worldview, choosing to do anything of an interventionist nature in the campaign of a deceased person will never be something I identify with," wrote the D.A.M.A. artist.

Miguel Cristovinho used his Instagram account to show that he did not like the artistic expression of Bordalo II, who marked Freedom Day by creating a giant box of medicines with the description 'Freedom, an anti-fascist probiotic', and placed it on Salazar's grave.
"Art is to be appreciated, or not. When we like it, it is a sign that it may be for us. When we do not like it, it will not be. In my worldview, choosing to do anything of an interventionist nature on the grave of a deceased person will never be something that I identify with," the D.A.M.A. artist began by writing.
"This does not invalidate the value of art when it has this effect of making us question and position ourselves in an 'I identify with it' or 'I do not identify with it'," he added, stressing that he has "nothing personal against anyone involved" in this action.
"We can be people who value their freedom and living in a democratic country more than anything and still not identify with a certain way of expressing it," he added.
