"Conceição had a contract of 45 million euros in front of him"
Pinto da Costa spoke about the renewal of Sérgio Conceição and the coach's salary, in an interview with Porto Canal.

After having justified the timing of Sérgio Conceição's renewal, having revealed that he suggested such a thing after the elimination against Arsenal, Pinto da Costa spoke about the salary of the new contract of FC Porto's coach. Pinto da Costa assures that he receives the same.
"He doesn't receive one more euro because he wants to finish a job that he considers not to be finished. I'm very proud of that", he said. Then, he spoke about a previous proposal to Sérgio, demonstrating the coach's loyalty.
"I consider him to be part of my family. I see him as a family member and I recognize his great capacity. Last year, in a difficult moment for FC Porto, he had a contract of 45 million in front of him, in a hotel in Paris, to go to Arabia, they came to get him, almost forced him to sign and he called me, we talked and he said I'm staying in Porto. That has an inestimable value for me. 45 million euros net, with a private jet and everything. I'll tell you, his heart is truly 'Dragão' but I was still amazed by his attitude", he stated.
