Controversy has broken out in Spain after the Superior Council of Sports (CSD) announced the creation of a Supervision, Normalization and Representation Commission, with the aim of overseeing the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

A measure that aims to respond to the "entity's crisis, and in defense of Spain's general interest", after a series of scandals involving the previous management, headed by Luis Rubiales, who, it should be recalled, resigned after giving an unconsented kiss to Jenni Hermoso.

According to information released this Thursday by the newspaper As, UEFA has been monitoring this case with particular attention, and has already made it known that the possibility of excluding the country's national teams and clubs from its competitions is not ruled out.

This is because, although the CSD claims to have the full support of FIFA, the body that governs European football says it was not consulted on the resolution of an issue that violates the regulations, given the direct intervention of the government in the RFEF.
