Ex-Benfica warns Sporting: "Stay calm, it's not over yet"
Chiquinho stressed, however, that "whoever wins and scores the most points is a fair champion".

After having addressed the lack of agreement between Rafa Silva and Benfica for the renewal, Chiquinho, who recently left the Eagles, was also challenged to talk about Sporting's approach to the national championship title, in an interview given to the podcast 'Final Cut', by Sports Tailors, with a new excerpt released this Monday.
"Sporting? It's not over yet. Calm down, it's not over yet. Obviously, when you win, in my opinion you are a fair champion. If you won, if you scored more points, it's because you were better than the others", he began by saying.
"But I believe it's not over yet. Benfica is in a very complicated situation, but as long as it's possible, they have to believe that they can turn the situation around. Without a doubt, Sporting is having a great season. They have been consistent and are playing good football. If they continue like this, obviously they can be champions", he concluded.
It is recalled that Chiquinho left Roger Schmidt's team to join Olympiacos, in the last transfer window, permanently, after several seasons serving the Luz emblem, with loans to Moreirense, Sporting de Braga and Giresunspor in between.
