Ex-Benfica shines and Besiktas smiles... after Fernando Santos' dismissal

Almost two months after the last time, Besiktas returned to smile in the Turkish championship, this Friday, by defeating Ankaragucu (2-0), in what was the first game after the dismissal of Fernando Santos.

Still within the first 20 minutes, Gedson Fernandes, former Benfica, took care of signing the assist for Muci's goal (18') in a first half of superiority for the home team.

With Pedrinho already on the field on the away side, it would be the former team of the former national coach to reach the second, roughly halfway through the second half, with Muleka's goal sentencing the doubts in the match.

With this result, Besiktas once again believes in the fight for the podium, with 51 points, one behind Trabzonspor (still with one match to play), while Ankaragucu occupies the 13th position, with 37 points.
