"Organization is a crucial point for the team, but we have to combine that with quality in belief, will, ambition, and the spirit of sacrifice that we must have at this time. We have to have a warrior spirit to overcome this phase", said Tozé Marreco, who succeeded Vítor Campelos in the command of the 'roosters'.

The coach, who left Tondela, from the II League, to take on the challenge of keeping the Barcelos emblem in the main echelon of national football, acknowledged that the team's situation in the standings [14th with 28 points] "is difficult", but he showed himself confident that "it is possible to turn it around".

"We can't hide the problems or sweep them under the rug. Gil Vicente is in a difficult situation and anyone who doesn't understand that is not very intelligent. There is no more time to let things slide. We need to be all involved and aware of what needs to be done. I am confident that we will turn it around", stressed Tozé Marreco.

The coach confessed that he found a squad that is "distrustful of itself", and, even warning that he is not "a magician or a miracle worker", he appealed to working together so that the group can overcome this phase.

"Alone, I will not be able to do anything. We have already identified what we want to improve, both in the defensive and offensive aspects. We are going to change some things, which for now I prefer not to disclose", he added.

Tozé Marreco acknowledged that it is "not very intelligent not to take advantage of the many good things left by Vítor Campelos", but he made it clear that the team that he will present on Saturday already has some of his personal touch.

"I am going to adapt those good things to my characteristics and to what needs to be done. It makes no sense to ask for things in the organization and then not have executors to apply them", he shared.

About Saturday's opponent, the 'roosters' coach spoke of a "strong team that is having a good championship", and acknowledging the difficulties, he also warned that "there are weak points in Moreirense that can be exploited".

"We have a well-defined strategy, and everyone knows what they have to do. Now, it is to go into the fight, knowing that it is going to be a game in which we are going to have difficulties, but that Moreirense is also going to face a very strong and prepared Gil Vicente", stated Tozé Marreco.

The coach, who is going to make his debut in the I League, intends to return the confidence that the Gilista leaders demonstrated in his hiring.

"It was an act of courage by Gil Vicente to trust a young coach. And that was important to me, in addition to the greatness of this club, with a history in Portuguese football. Certainly, there were hundreds of coaches available, but it was me that they invited", he shared.

Asked if he has any specific goal that he considers sufficient to keep the Barcelos emblem in the I League, Tozé Marreco prefers not to do the math in the medium term.

"I only think about winning three points in the next game, and it is not worth thinking about more than that. We have five weeks to maintain this spirit and we are going to analyze what happens. When it is not possible to win, we have to come out with points", he concluded.

Gil Vicente, 14th place, with 28 points, plays on Saturday on the field of Moreirense, sixth, with 43, in a match scheduled for 3:30 pm, and which will be refereed by José Bessa, from the Porto Football Association.
