FC Porto doesn't forget. Pinto da Costa became president 42 years ago

FC Porto used social media this Wednesday to recall an important date in the history of the club from the Unvanquished city, involving... Pinto da Costa.

"April 17, 1981. On this day, 42 years ago, Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa was elected President of FC Porto", wrote the blue and white emblem.

With regard to football, FC Porto, during all of his terms, won 21 championships, 12 Portuguese Cups, 20 Super Cups, two Champions Cups/Champions Leagues, two UEFA Cups/Europa Leagues and one European Super Cup.

It should be recalled that on April 27, Pinto da Costa will run for a new term as the club's top leader, as well as André Villas-Boas and Nuno Lobo, in a season that has not gone particularly well for Sérgio Conceição's players.
