On Sunday, the Arouca team received and defeated Boavista, 2-1, in a game corresponding to the 29th round of the Primeira Liga, which was 'marred' by incidents that could have resulted in tragic consequences in the final minutes.

Fans of the away team threw a series of objects onto the pitch, including broken chairs and even an open knife that landed next to one of the assistants who, in turn, interrupted the game to hand it to the main referee, Carlos Macedo, from the Braga Football Association.

This episode ended up prompting prompt intervention from players on the black-and-white team, including Rodrigo Abascal and Róbert Bonezík, who asked those in the stands of the Arouca Municipal Stadium to exercise restraint.

As for the game itself, let's recall that it was decided thanks to goals scored by Rafa Mujica and Weverson Costa, in the 30th and 39th minutes, respectively, before Robson Bambu put the ball into his own goal in the second half.
