Inter draws against Cagliari and is one win away from the title

Claudio Ranieri's Cagliari postponed Internazionale's title party on Sunday, drawing 2-2 at home to the Milanese side on matchday 32 of Serie A.

Simone Inzaghi's team took to the field knowing that they could capitalise on the defeat of their eternal rivals AC Milan, but they squandered two leads to concede a draw against the team from Sardinia.

Marcus Thuram gave the visitors the lead after just 12 minutes, but Shomurodov equalised early in the second half (65').

A handball by Yerry Mina led to a penalty which Calhanoglu converted (74'). However, the away team did not give up and Viola made the final score 2-2 in the 83rd minute.

After the match, Inter remain top of Serie A with 83 points, 14 more than AC Milan. Next matchday is the Milan derby and the Nerazzurri could win the title again if they beat their rivals.

Cagliari, for their part, are 14th in the standings with 31 points.
