Jorge Jesus Player Had Mental Problems in Spain: "It Wasn't Me..."

Yassine Bounou is one of the main figures of Jorge Jesus' Al Hilal, and this Thursday he won his first trophy in Saudi Arabia, in this case the Super Cup. The goalkeeper swapped Sevilla for the Saudi team last summer and explained his decision.
Speaking to journalists after this triumph, the Moroccan international confessed that he went through family and mental health problems that led him to decide to leave Spain.
"I wasn't well, I wasn't myself. I had to resort to my strength and all my experience, but I couldn't because I couldn't go on, emotionally. I needed a change for my mental health. You can't be in a place knowing that you can't be there", Bono began by saying, quoted by the newspaper Marca.
"I had very little life. Training, walking the dog, taking a nap and thinking about the next day's training. When I saw that I didn't have the energy to continue giving everything to the club, the opportunity to leave came up. If I had stayed, my performance would not have been the same", continued the Moroccan goalkeeper.
"That is love for the club, it is more honest not to stay when you can't give what is needed. Everything they gave me was incredible, I will keep that forever. I love them very much and here they have and will have a brother who loves Sevilla as much as they do. While we are here, we will never let Sevilla sink in one way or another", he concluded.
