Ex-United star reveals Liverpool squad's preference to succeed Klopp

Rúben Amorim has been one of the names pointed out to succeed Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool - and an agreement between the parties has even been reported - but the truth is that the players have another preference above the Sporting coach.
Alan Brazil, a former Manchester United and Tottenham player - revealed that the reds squad prefers the bet to be on Pepijn Lijnders, Jurgen Klopp's assistant who played for FC Porto between 2008 and 2014 before traveling to England.
"I'll stick with Klopp's replacement, Pep. I'm told he's the one the players want," said Alan Brazil, speaking on the radio station talkSPORT.
In the past, Pep Lijnders has guaranteed that he does not want to be Jurgen Klopp's successor at the reds.
"It's not going to happen, I was very clear. We knew in the summer that it was the end. I had offers last year, my heart always said yes, but my loyalty to Jurgen always said no. We will finish this project together", reinforced the current assistant coach of Jurgen Klopp.
