Jesus continues unstoppable series and wins Saudi Super Cup

There is the first title for Jorge Jesus since his return to Saudi Arabia. Al Hilal won the Saudi Super Cup this Thursday, beating Al Ittihad 4-1 in the final of the competition, in a duel played in the United Arab Emirates.

After eliminating Al Nassr, from Cristiano Ronaldo, Luís Castro and Otávio, the team from Riyadh looked for the first title of the season and started the game in the best way with a goal from Malcom in the 5th minute. Still in the first half, Hamdallah tied for the team from Jeddah. After missing the maximum penalty, the veteran striker scored on the rebound (21'). Al Dawsari put Al Hilal back in the lead with an accurate shot in the 44th minute. The second half of the duel at the Mohammad bin Zayed Stadium, in Dubai, was very disputed. Al Hilal ended up being superior and sentenced the doubts. After a goal disallowed for Al Dawsari (84'), Malcom scored twice and made it 3-1 in the 89th minute. Al Dawsari still had time to forget the 'shot' withdrawn and scored twice in the discounts. As far as the Portuguese are concerned, Rúben Neves was a starter in the starting team of Al Hilal, while Jota was launched into the match by Marcelo Gallardo in the 58th minute. The team led by Jorge Jesus thus achieves the 34th consecutive victory of the season and adds the fourth Saudi Super Cup to its list of honours.

Jorge Jesus is looking for another title in Saudi Arabia. Al Hilal, a team led by the Portuguese coach, faces Al Ittihad this Thursday in the fight for victory in the Saudi Super Cup.

To reach this decisive game, the emblem of Riyadh had to eliminate Al Nassr, from Cristiano Ronaldo, Luís Castro and Otávio, while the club where the Portuguese Jota plays eliminated Al-Wehda.

The game between Al Ittihad and Al Hilal, which will take place at the Mohammad bin Zayed Stadium, in the United Arab Emirates, is scheduled to start at 6:30 pm this Thursday and you can follow it live on Desporto ao Minuto.
