Taylor Swift has done it again. In less than 24 hours, the American singer's 11th album, titled ‘The Tortured Poets Department’, broke three records on the Spotify platform. The new studio work, which was released on Friday, became the first album in Spotify's history to reach more than 300 million streams in a single day, according to the streaming service. And there's more: less than 12 hours after its release, ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ won the award for most-listened album in a single day in 2024, taking the title from Beyoncé's ‘Cowboy Carter’, which accumulated 300.41 million streams in its first week of release.

But the records don't stop there. The song ‘Fortnight’, featuring Post Malone, became the most-listened song in a single day in Spotify's history. The new album, which features 31 tracks, is an "anthology of new works that reflect events, opinions and sentiments from a fleeting and fatalistic moment in time - one that was both sensational and sorrowful in equal measure".

And then all that is left is the tortured poetry", wrote the artist, on social network X (Twitter). ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ was announced at the 2024 edition of the Grammy Awards, which took place in February. On a night dominated by female winners, Taylor Swift became the first artist to win the Grammy for Best Album for the fourth time. The singer won not only the Album of the Year award, but also Best Pop Vocal Album, with the album ‘Midnights’.

It is worth remembering that Taylor Swift will make her debut in Portugal on May 24 and 25, 2024, at the Estádio da Luz, where she will be accompanied by the band Paramore. According to See Tickets, doors open at 4:00 pm and the show, which will last about three hours, starts at 6:00 pm.
