Política Programa de Estabilidade

The resolution of the Left Bloc (BE) was rejected with the votes against of the PSD, Chega and CDS, abstention of the PS, IL and PAN and favorable votes of the BE, PCP and Livre.
The PCP's project was rejected with the votes against of the PSD, Chega, IL and CDS, abstention of the PS and PAN and favorable votes of the BE, PCP and Livre. In its initiative, the BE proposed the rejection of the Stability Program "taking into account its expiration in the assessment of the Government's choices in terms of budgetary and economic policy". "The Stability Program presented by the XXIV Government translates the macroeconomic and budgetary perspectives of the previous Government, thus constituting itself as a useless element in the political debate. Useless, first of all, because it hides the political options of the recently elected Government", the project stated. The PCP, in its draft resolution, considered that the Stability Program was "a document devoid of relevant political content", but "it is still an instrument used by the Government to justify the implementation of the political project of the right at the service of big capital". "The PCP does not feed illusions. The response to the country's problems implies the rejection of the policy that this PSD/CDS Government, in convergence with Chega and IL, intends to implement", the document read. The IL's draft resolution was rejected with the votes against of the PSD, Chega and CDS, abstention of the PS, Chega and Livre, and favorable votes of the IL, BE and PAN. In this project, the party asked the executive to "review and submit to the Assembly of the Republic a Stability Program that reflects the forecasts and impacts of the measures provided for in the Government Program, in line with the electoral commitments of the Democratic Alliance (AD) coalition that composes and supports it". A draft resolution by Livre was also rejected, which recommended that the executive introduce, in the Stability Program, "clear and objective, prudent and predictable criteria for the use of the current and future budget surplus", with priority for public investment, modernization of the public administration and support for the most vulnerable people. The Livre resolution was rejected with the votes against of the PSD, Chega, IL and CDS, abstention of the PS and PCP, and favorable votes of the BE, Livre and PAN. Two draft resolutions by the PAN on the Stability Program were also rejected. One asked that the sustainable development goals of the 2030 agenda and the principles of green budgeting of the Climate Framework Law be included in the document. The other suggested that, if the total collection of direct and indirect tax revenue destined for the central administration sector exceeded by more than 1% the revenue provided for in the Stability Program, parliament would have to approve "the possibility and terms of use" of that amount.
