55-year-old man dies in tractor accident in the municipality of Grândola
A 55-year-old man died this Saturday, after the tractor he was driving skidded off the road, next to a hill, located in the parish of Melides, in the municipality of Grândola (Setúbal), the Civil Protection told the Lusa agency.

According to a source from the Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command of Alentejo Litoral, the accident happened "next to Monte dos Condutos, in Valinho da Estrada", Melides, with the alert having been given to firefighters at 5:49pm.
The tractor "skidded, overturned and landed on the tractor driver", who was initially considered seriously injured, indicated the source.
The victim "suffered serious injuries and was, in resuscitation manoeuvres, transported by ambulance to the Hospital do Litoral Alentejano", in the municipality of Santiago do Cacém, but arrived at the hospital already dead, said Civil Protection.
11 operatives were mobilised to the accident site, supported by five vehicles, including resources from firefighters, GNR and the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM).
