One dead and one seriously injured in an accident on the National 109 in Leiria
The road is closed in both directions, with no forecast for its reopening.

One person died and another was seriously injured in an accident on National Road 109, in the town of Picoto, municipality of Leiria.
According to a source from the Leiria District Command of Relief Operations (CDOS) to Notícias ao Minuto, at 9:20 pm, the road was closed to traffic.
According to sources to Lusa, the two victims are male.
The alert for the accident, which involved a heavy goods vehicle and a light goods vehicle, was given at 7:11 pm.
The scene was attended by elements of the National Republican Guard (GNR), firefighters and the National Institute of Medical Emergency, with 16 personnel supported by six vehicles.
The seriously injured person was transported to the Leiria hospital and due to the accident, which is being investigated by the Criminal Investigation Center of Road Traffic Accidents of the Leiria Traffic Detachment, the road is closed in both directions, with no forecast for its reopening.
