Radoslaw Sikorski was speaking in the Polish parliament as the government led by Prime Minister Donald Tusk presented its new vision, explaining that priorities had changed, the Associated Press reported. The foreign minister said that Poland wanted to return to the group of countries that set the agenda for the European Union. The speech comes at a historic moment, with war in Ukraine and the possibility that Russian aggression will not stop at that country. Poland, a member of NATO and the European Union, borders Russia and its ally Belarus, as well as Ukraine, and has been a key point for sending Western arms to Kyiv. The Foreign Ministry said in advance that the speech would highlight the historic moment and underline how Poland’s foreign policy has changed since the change of government. It would also stress “the importance Warsaw attaches to helping Ukraine” and call “for Russia to join the family of Western nations.” Read Also: Polish FM backs Macron on sending NATO troops to Ukraine (in Portuguese)
