A man has taken the largest pumpkin grown in Australia, turned it into a canoe and paddled it a kilometer down the Tumut River in New South Wales.
The pumpkin, which weighs more than 400 kilograms, was grown by Mark Peacock and named Tormund after the 'Game of Thrones' character. It was the heaviest entered in any Australian competition this year.
According to UPI, Adam asked Mark if he could have the pumpkin before it was fed to animals and when his friend said yes, he decided to hollow it out and turn it into a canoe, which he named Cinderella.
He then paddled it about a kilometer down the Tumut River in front of about 1000 spectators.
"It was a fitting farewell, for the community to see the pumpkin in a different light," Mark said. Adam meanwhile said his only goal was to have some fun.
