Court Overturns One of Weinstein’s Rape and Assault Convictions
The decision was made by the New York Supreme Court.

Harvey Weinstein's 2020 rape and sexual assault convictions have been overturned by New York's highest court, according to Reuters.
The reversal came after the former Hollywood producer's lawyer, Arthur Aidala, argued that Weinstein didn't receive a fair trial and that he was convicted because of who he is, not because of the evidence.
The lawyer argued that jurors improperly considered other bad acts that were not part of the charges he was facing.
Weinstein will remain in prison, however, because his 2022 convictions for sex crimes in California remain intact.
The former producer is serving a 23-year sentence in New York. He has been accused of sexual misconduct by more than 100 women.
