SNQTB considers unacceptable new BCP proposal for 2.25% increases
The National Union of Bank Executives and Technicians (SNQTB) announced today that it considers the new salary increase proposal from BCP, presented at the beginning of the week, of 2.25%, to be "insufficient and unacceptable".

In view of the results presented by BCP (856 million euros), the current inflation and cost of living, SNQTB maintains its proposal for an update, duly justified and adjusted to the reality of BCP, which involves a 5.8% salary increase for 2024", the union announced in a statement.
According to the statement, SNQTB considers "insufficient and unacceptable" the new counterproposal from BCP's management that the union received on Tuesday to update salary tables, retirement and survivor pensions, and other clauses with pecuniary expression.
"The new proposal from BCP considers a 2.25% salary increase for all levels; a daily value for the food subsidy of 13.50 euros and a 2.25% increase in clauses with pecuniary expression (for example, overtime)", indicates the union.
Quoted in the statement, the president of SNQTB, Paulo Gonçalves Marcos, points out that "although there is a change in BCP's negotiating position, it is quite evident that it continues to be a clearly out of date and insufficient counterproposal, which does not duly compensate BCP's active and retired workers".
