Eurozone household saving was 14.7% in Q4 2023
The household saving rate in the euro area reached 14.7% in the fourth quarter of 2023, and that of investment 9.6%, while in the EU they stood at 13.7% and 9.4%, respectively, Eurostat reported today.

In the fourth quarter of 2022, the household saving rate in the euro area was 13.3% and the investment rate was 10.2%, while in the third quarter of 2023 they stood at 14.0% and 9.6%, respectively.
In the 27 Member States, according to data from the European statistical service, the saving rate for the same period was 12.3% and the household investment rate was 9.9%, and in the third quarter of 2023 they were 13.2% and 9.5%, respectively.
