These flights join the resumption of other routes to Europe and North America that Air China has been carrying out in recent months, in an effort to recover normality after the COVID-19 pandemic, which kept the country's borders practically closed for three years.
In addition to the resumption in Latin America, Air China also announced on Tuesday the opening of two new routes, from Beijing, one to Riyadh and the other to Dhaka.
The route to the capital of Saudi Arabia will start operating on May 6, with three weekly round-trip flights, while the connection to the capital of Bangladesh will be inaugurated in June, with four weekly frequencies.
Air China thus expands its flight network to a total of 452 routes, including 112 international and regional routes.
