Thiago Silva has a valid contract with Chelsea until June 30, but everything indicates that he will not renew it, because he has already chosen the next step in his career, after the end of this season.

According to information released this Wednesday by the website Goal, the Brazilian international has reached a "verbal agreement" with Fluminense, after a 'marathon' of negotiations, so the expectation is that it will be made public in the coming weeks.

If confirmed, this will be the third time that the 39-year-old central defender has played for the Rio de Janeiro club, since it was there that he completed his training, and where he returned in 2006, after being diagnosed with tuberculosis.

The 'veteran' is thus preparing to put an end to a long spell in European football, where he represented some of its biggest 'giants', such as not only the Blues, but also AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.
