Carlos Tévez hospitalized with chest pains

O Independiente announced, in a statement issued through its official platforms at the end of Tuesday night, that Carlos Tévez, the former Argentine international and current coach of the main team, was hospitalized.

"Our coach, Carlos Tévez, was admitted to La Trinidad de San Isidro Hospital with chest pain. He underwent the corresponding tests, and the results were satisfactory. Tomorrow, he will continue with a series of scheduled tests with a view to scheduling a general check-up", it reads.

The news came just over a week after the club failed to go beyond a two-all draw when hosting Talleres, which mathematically prevented access to the 'final four' of the Argentine League Cup.
