Forward wanted by Sporting is accused in a doping case

The Greek press has reported in recent days the existence of a doping case in the Greek national team before the match against Georgia, which was decisive in qualifying for Euro'2024. And the name associated with this situation is not unknown at all.

According to the information made public, Fotis Ioannidis, a player who has already been linked to Sporting, is using doping substances before the aforementioned match. The Panathinaikos forward rejects the accusations and promises to resort to justice.

"Regarding situations that do not exist and false scenarios that have been circulating on the internet in recent hours, I am very sorry, but I will have to resort to justice against those who have been tarnishing my name", underlined the 24-year-old Greek international, through a publication in the stories of the social network Instagram.

The Greek Federation guaranteed that it was unaware of the existence of any doping case. This season, Ioannidis has already scored 21 goals and nine assists in 39 matches.
