Sporting does not pass in Estoril and the under-23 title becomes a 'mirage'

Estoril put themselves in a privileged position to win the national under-23 title at the end of the afternoon this Wednesday, thanks to a one-all draw at the Estádio António Coimbra da Mota against Sporting.
The Lions were the first to celebrate, thanks to a precise shot by Henrique Arreiol, just six minutes into the match. However, the Canaries refused to 'throw in the towel' and equalised before the half-time whistle, through Martim Filipe.
With this result, Estoril now have 29 points, which puts them in the isolated lead of the Liga Revelação, with a three-point advantage over the second-placed team, Sporting, who have the advantage in the head-to-head.
On the 14th and final matchday, which is scheduled for 2:30 pm (mainland Portugal time) next Thursday, 25 April, the Canaries will visit Vizela knowing that a draw will be enough for them to lift the trophy. The Lions, on the other hand, will host Torreense.
