Controversial 'Likes' motivate Ten Hag to 'pull Garnacho's ear'

Erik ten Hag has reportedly given Alejandro Garnacho a 'dressing down' after the Argentina international 'liked' posts on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) over the weekend that appeared to criticize the manager. The Argentina international 'liked' comments from well-known Manchester United fan Mark Goldbridge, who had criticized the manager's decision to substitute him for Amad Diallo at half-time during the 2-2 draw at Bournemouth. "Ten Hag throwing Garnacho under the bus a little in this press conference... Not a great look to throw a 19-year-old who has done well this season under it. But he's clearly scared of upsetting his highest earner," the post read. The forward removed the 'likes' shortly after, but not before they had been widely shared and had reached the attention of the Red Devils boss, who is said to have confronted him privately. The news was reported on Tuesday by British newspaper The Guardian, who added that the club's hierarchy will now decide whether to take any disciplinary action.
