In a statement, IP indicates that, during this period, alternative road transport will be provided.
The interdiction on the Cascais Line, during this time period, had already been verified last Sunday.
"We appreciate your understanding for any inconvenience that the punctual interdiction of railway circulation may cause, as it is necessary to allow the continuation of the work being carried out, to improve the quality, efficiency and safety levels of the railway public transport service on the Cascais Line", can be read in the note released.
Railway circulation on the Cascais Line has been conditioned in recent weeks, after a fire that occurred on March 19 at the Cais do Sodré electrical substation, caused by a cabling manoeuvre within the scope of works on the Lisbon Metro.
Since that date, train circulation has remained conditioned, with a more reduced offer and stops at all stations, according to a source from CP -- Comboios de Portugal told Lusa.
The same source added, at the beginning of April, that six trains run during rush hour and three per hour outside this period.
The causes of the fire, as explained by the same source, "are not related to the modernisation works on the Cascais Line that are underway, nor do they harm the normal course of these works, which are currently taking place between the municipalities of Oeiras and Cascais".
