Portuguese submarine achieves "historical feat" by reaching Greenland

The NRP Arpão docked in Nuuk, the capital of Greenland, after 22 days of patrolling in the service of NATO in the operation Brilliant Shield, thus becoming the first submarine of the Portuguese Navy to sail so far north and to make a port call in Greenland, announced this branch of the Armed Forces on social media.
According to the Portuguese Navy, this "historic feat" was witnessed by dozens of people in Nuuk.
During the first patrol, the NRP Arpão discreetly contributed to the surveillance and security of the maritime spaces of interest to the alliance.
"Now it is time to charge the batteries for the next challenge, to sail under the Arctic ice", reads the publication.
