Elderly man's body found charred in Santa Maria da Feira
The body of an elderly man aged around 90 was found charred today in São João de Ver, in the municipality of Santa Maria da Feira, after an uncontrolled fire, a source from the GNR told Lusa.

The incident originated in an uncontrolled burning in São João de Ver, in the municipality of Santa Maria da Feira, district of Aveiro, and the body of the elderly man was found charred at that location.
The alert for the fire was given at 5:10 pm and it was considered extinguished at 6:20 pm, after the intervention of the Feira Volunteer Firefighters, detailed a source from the Aveiro Territorial Command of the GNR.
The Judiciary Police was called to the scene, he added.
