Information from over 50,000 adults with an average age of 60 was analyzed over a 10-year period. The study showed that those who did regular physical exercise, between 75 and 150 minutes per week, had less activity in the amygdala, an area of the brain.
Thus, less stress was noticeable in contrast to those who did not exercise. They report that greater activity in this brain area is associated with a greater number of heart diseases.
