Nuno Borges, 27, who has a best ranking of 46th achieved in February, was eliminated in the round of 16 of the Bucharest tournament (ATP 250), but remains as the Portuguese number one and the only Portuguese representative among the top 100 tennis players in the world.

Henrique Rocha dropped four places to 210th, in contrast to Jaime Faria, who rose 25 to 230th, while João Sousa still appears in the ATP hierarchy, in 297th position, despite having ended his career at the beginning of the month, at the Estoril Open, at the age of 35.

A year older, at 36, Djokovic retained the clear lead in the world ranking, ahead of Italian Jannik Sinner and Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, second and third respectively, and much younger than the Serbian, at 22 and 20 years old.

The women's ranking also did not register any changes in the top three, with Polish Iga Swiatek remaining in command, ahead of Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka and American Coco Gauff, second and third respectively, while Portuguese Francisca Jorge rose six places to 184th, the best ranking of her career.
