Moreirense promises to "focus on the difficulties" to overcome Gil Vicente
Coach Rui Borges said today that Moreirense wants to return to triumphs in the Portuguese I League, although he warns of the difficulties of a Gil Vicente with a new coach, Tozé Marreco, in the challenge of the 30th round.

Despite emphasizing that the work week "was the same" as previous ones, the 'helmsman' of the Moreira de Cónegos emblem acknowledged that it is "a shot in the dark" to anticipate the strategy that will be used by the Barcelos team, whether closer to the usual tactical model of the ex-coach of Tondela, or closer to the system used by the 'roosters' throughout the season, adapting to the characteristics of the players.

Pleased with Tozé Marreco's rise to the top tier of Portuguese football, a "very competent and rigorous" coach whom he considers a friend, Rui Borges envisioned a "very competitive and cohesive" opposing team, when it occupies 14th place, with 28 points.
The coach thus asked his team, sixth in the table, with 43 points, to maintain "the quality of play" that they have shown throughout the season, but with more defensive rigor and more finishing, aggressiveness and, above all, decision-making in attack, in view of the three previous rounds, in which the 'canons' only added one point.
Rui Borges also stressed that the team has already overcome Sunday's defeat at Estádio da Luz, against Benfica, by 3-0, as well as what he considered refereeing errors in the first two 'incarnate' goals.
"That didn't affect the locker room. It's hard to reach half-time and be penalized for mistakes that continue to be clear. Referees make mistakes like we do. At the time, we were sad and frustrated. We were not penalized for lack of concentration and rigor, but it's over. On Tuesday, we were already focused on Gil Vicente," he said.
After Jerémy Antonisse returned to the options against the 'eagles', the coach said that the other winger injured until now, Madson Monteiro, is available to receive the Gilistas, offering "different characteristics" from those of Antonisse, Kodisang and João Camacho.
Moreirense, sixth in the Portuguese I League, with 43 points, hosts Gil Vicente, 14th, with 28, in a match scheduled for 3:30 pm on Saturday, at Estádio Comendador Joaquim de Almeida Freitas, in Moreira de Cónegos, in the municipality of Guimarães, with refereeing by José Bessa, from the Porto Football Association.
