Matic plans game in Marseille: "I hope Benfica wins the Europa League"
Former Eagles player left a serious warning to Roger Schmidt's team for the second leg of the 'quarterfinals' of the competition.

Nemanja Matic currently plays for Olympique Lyon and, as such, knows the reality of French football well, having taken care of projecting Benfica's (former team) trip to the Olympique Marseille stronghold, with a serious warning in the middle, in addition to confidence in Roger Schmidt's team.
"It is not easy to play in that stadium because it has many fans and the atmosphere is always good. In the first 15/20 minutes it is important that Benfica have control of the game. After that it will be much easier for Benfica to play. It is very important not to concede goals at the beginning of the game, because if they do, the fans will grab the team and the energy will be different. I think the start of the game will be decisive for Benfica, if they manage to have control in that phase then they will have the opportunity to score", he began by saying in statements to the newspaper O Jogo.
"In the first minutes they have to be compact and not let Marseille score. Then the stadium becomes very complicated. After the first few minutes, the game will be more open. Benfica will have more control and I am sure that the coach will prepare for that, who knows more than me", he added next.
"I hope Benfica win the Europa League. In my time we lost the final in the last minute [against Chelsea, by 2-1], but that's football. I hope they have better luck", he concluded.
