The Minister of Health, Ana Paula Martins, will start the "meetings for salary negotiations with the unions representing doctors, nurses and pharmacists" this week.
The health professional associations will be received on Monday, April 22, in a schedule that "includes meetings with other entities in the sector", according to a statement from the ministry sent to the newsrooms.
Then, on the 26th, the salary negotiations will begin with the unions, namely the National Federation of Doctors (FNAM) and the Independent Union of Doctors (SIM), "followed by other union structures representing the various public health professionals".
It should be noted, however, that the "round of meetings at the Ministry of Health with the partners started on Friday, the 19th, with the patients' associations". On that day, "reaffirming its commitment to the people", the ministry met with RDPortugal, the Health in Dialogue Platform and GAT – Treatment Activists Group.
