Gaza authorities say they have exhumed 200 bodies from mass grave
The Civil Defense of the Gaza Strip, controlled by the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, said today that it has exhumed about 200 bodies in the last three days of people allegedly buried by Israeli forces in mass graves in a hospital.

"Our teams continue to find bodies inside the Nasser Medical Complex and since Saturday the bodies of about 200 martyrs have been exhumed," said Mahmoud Bassal, a spokesman for the Civil Defense.
Mohammed al-Mughayer, head of the Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip, confirmed that 283 bodies were found in the graves of the Nasser hospital, in Khan Younis.
"So far, we have found the buried bodies of 283 people, killed in cold blood by the Israeli occupation army," said Ismail al-Thawabteh, head of the communications department of the government of the Islamist group Hamas.
Hospitals in the Gaza Strip, which Israel claims are used as Hamas military operations centers, were severely targeted during the military operation carried out by the Israeli army in the Palestinian territory since the attack perpetrated in Israeli territory on October 7 by Hamas fighters from Gaza.
In response to the October 7 attack, Israel launched a large-scale military operation against the Gaza Strip with the stated objective of annihilating Hamas.
The attack by the Palestinian movement in Israel caused 1,170 deaths, mostly civilians, according to a count based on official Israeli data.
About 250 people were also taken hostage to Gaza and 129 are still there, of which 34 were considered dead by the Israeli army.
The Israeli military operations carried out in the last six months in the Gaza Strip caused more than 34 thousand deaths, mostly women and children, according to the Hamas Ministry of Health.
